A little about myself...
I'm forty-something years old, and unexpectedly unemployed. My work had been in wireless networks, but I'm not too worried yet. People with over 10 years experience in wifi are hard to come by...
My life has tended to be a little settled. As a child, my family didn't move around much, and I've been living in Toronto now for 36 years. Before then, my family lived in Quebec, but moved out after the FLQ crisis. It was in Quebec as a small child that my interest in ruins and abandoned places was born. When I was five, my father took me out to an abandoned and partially ruined hydro-electric project near where we lived. I think we were supposed to be fishing, but I found the ruins fascinating! That interest still holds me today, and business travel allowed me to explore places most other people didn't know even existed. I'll often combine urban exploration with another of my big hobbies, photography. Some of my pictures can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/17246015@N00/. I'm happily married, and we share our house with two of the sweetest but stupidest ferrets we have ever known.
I have too many hobbies. I learned watch-making from my grandfather, and still keep my eyes open for unusual watches and clock. I've volunteered for our local aerospace museum and love vintage engines. I want to have a classic boat, but don't have the space for one. The same goes for classic cars and motorcycles. I free climb and free dive when I can (which is not as often as I would like). My wife and I frequent the asian malls in this area, and have acquired a taste for japanese horror films. Completely opposite to that, I also like Pullips, an asian big head doll, and have 5 of them (one a full custom). Not really sure how that happened... I also like computer games, both online and standalone, mainly Guild Wars and Tomb Raider.
Guild Wars... In game I'm know as Lady Argent. I'm known to a few people. I founded and until recently led The Boat Crew [boat] guild and alliance, leading the guild to become a listed as a noteworthy guild, and awarded Guild Of The Week. Now I lead the Drunken Rabbit Army [BUNI].
